Through hard work, some youngsters of the village were able to rebuild the lodge, which had fallen into decay due to bad management of previous owners.

The lodge is...

connected by a sand track to the village, which is only at ten minutes walking distance. A visit to this village is a very pleasing experience, as it offers you a glimpse into the traditional village life.

In the centre of the village takes place the annual music- and dance festival of Kartong

Tesito wants to develop into a meeting place for youngsters from Kartong and guests from other cultures by setting up a reading cafe at the lodge.
